I’ve been looking for quick and easy crafts for Valentine’s Day, so when I saw a picture of candle holders decorated with black lace, I knew that would be perfect! The black lace was gorgeous, but not very appropriate for Valentine’s Day. So I changed it up a bit and ended up with these fun, festive lace candles!
Lace candles are incredibly simple, just wrap a piece of lace around a candle holder (or around the candle itself if you have a big pillar candle instead of a votive or tea light) and secure!
The easiest way to secure the lace is to use a bit of glue, but that makes the lace permanent. I decided to use a needle and thread instead so that the lace could be moved from candle to candle. That way I can change out the colors for different seasons or holidays.
All you need to hold the ends together is one single stitch. It’s super simple, and if you do it with coordinating thread you won’t even be able to see the stitch when you’re finished!
This was such an easy project that I went a bit crazy and made a bunch! I love that the colors and styles coordinate, but none of them match exactly.
Have you decorated for Valentine’s Day? JM has plans to make an awesome dinner for us this year, so these candle will be perfect for decorating the table!
