We all need a bit of organization in our lives every once in a while. I mean, I can’t be the only person who just chucks craft supplies into a corner in the bedroom and pretends that they aren’t horribly messy and disorganized, right?! Luckily I was able to fix my craft supply storage issues with a couple fabulous wire shelving units from Trinity!

How much better is that?!

Craft Supply Storage

We live in a small apartment, so one of my New Year’s resolutions this year was to be more efficient with the use of our space. So organizing my craft supplies was the perfect first project!

Here’s what we were living with before…

Yuck! So I pulled everything out of the corner and sorted it into a thousand little piles on the bed and surrounding floor area. It was a little messier for a while there, but the corner was clear!

I opted for two of the Trinity Dark Bronze Indoor Wire Shelving units for this project. Once the corner was cleared out, I set up the shelves. I was a bit apprehensive about this part because JM wasn’t around, but it was totally simple and easy to do, even by myself!

Then all I had to do was put the piles away on the shelves. I was amazed at how much room there was in this little corner once I started using the vertical space. Awesome! Everything that was in the corner before, plus a few extra supplies that had been scattered around the dining and living rooms, fit on these shelves with room to spare!

The shelves are strong enough to hold a lot of weight, so I was able to put tons of stuff on each shelf without worrying. Paper is heavy!

Everything is organized, no more stuff on the floor, and the best part is that there’s room for more! It’s a definite win for my first organizing project of 2013. :-)

Your blog’s name is well suited to this project. I love that you made such a functional space out of chaos. I also appreciate that you showed the mess. Not many would share such an eyesore. Well, I would, but I have no shame. ;) Thanks for sharing!

Lol! Thanks Christine! I’m just trying to keep it real. I know a lot of my pictures might make it seem like my house is put together, but it’s definitely not most of the time! It’s just that it’s pretty easy to hide the clutter just out of frame in a photo. :-)
