Improve Your Photos With Lightscoop! {Giveaway}

I was recently given the opportunity to try out a simple flash-diffusing product called Lightscoop, and it has COMPLETELY revolutionized my photos! And lucky you guys, I get to give one away after this little review!

I have the hardest time getting good light to take photos in our apartment. The lights in our apartment are super yellow and very sparse, so my photos are either dark and yellow or overexposed and yellow if I use the flash to compensate. And I’m never around during the day to take advantage of natural light coming in the windows.

But the Lightscoop has completely changed all of that; look at the difference it makes! These photos are straight out of the camera, no editing (other than adding the text :-p).

Look how much warmer that second photo is! And the colors are much “truer” too. The brown plaid flannel is actually the color that it appears in the second photo, rather than the dark, contrast-y brown that appears in the first photo. And our table is light colored wood, not dark.

The Lightscoop is a tiny mirror that attaches over the pop-up flash in your camera.

It’s angled to redirect the light from your flash upwards. It bounces off the ceiling and is diffused so your photos are gently and evenly lit, rather than washed out with hot spots from the flash.

Brilliant!

I’m loving how much warmer my photos are with the Lightscoop. Plus the cats don’t squint their eyes to avoid the bright light!

I turned the camera sideways and bounced the light off of a wall to take this photo of JM. Again, much warmer, much better lighting. It didn’t fix the fact that he’s kind of a goon, but ah well, nothing’s perfect!

Seriously, this little thing is amazing. It makes a huge difference, it’s very affordable, and it’s easy to install and set up. Lightscoop has great instructions on their site; it took me 15 seconds to install the thing (it just slides into the hot shoe on your camera) and another minute to configure my camera settings and that’s it!
